I saw Santa in September! MTB in Big Bear at Summit and Skypark

Sep 6, 2018 | MTB, Park, Travel

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I worked the birthday angle this year with a free lift ticket at Summit bike park and my bday rewards from Starbucks coffee.

Summit was a blast as always, and this time I got to trail (or attempt to) trail Daniel. An amazing 11-year-old rider.

Skypark was a new adventure. The parks five trails are for all levels and currently, there are no lifts, but the pedal up is easy. I’m not an amazing rider, but I can ride most of the features… but chickened out on the whale tail… I’ll leave that one for the experts.

The downside to this trip was Mary’s crash. She may have torn her ACL/MCL and medial meniscus. She will find out on Monday. It was one of those crashes when you hesitate. 🙁 Speed is your friend most of the time.

Ride safely my friends. You can still crash on the easiest trails.
