Sunrace 11-50 Cassette how to replace + Shimano XT M8000

Sunrace 11-50 cassette gave me a great year with around 3000 miles of riding. Is that good, average, bad? I have no idea. Maybe if I maintained my bike better I could have squeaked out a few more miles? I guess that is besides the point.
