[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Mammoth mountain in the Sierra Nevadas is a mountain bikers paradise in the summer. But 2020 is an odd year and the bike park was still closed when we were there in early June. Thankfully there is more to Mammoth than just the mountain. The Mammoth Panorama Dome and Rock trail is a fun, scenic, flowy trail with a little bit of tech added. It’s easy to access from Lake Mary Road. Spin up to the first lake and make a left onto the well marked trail. It starts out as Panorama dome trail, then just follow the signs to Mammoth Rock trail. It’s mainly downhill back to town. No lift or shuttle needed.
This trail is perfect for acclimating those sea level lungs to the 8000 ft base of Mammoth. Or just a fun spin through the trees.
